With greatly increasing gas drainage volume in working faces, traditional calculating methods have no longer adapted well to working faces of high gas drainage efficiency. In order to exactly calculate actual gas emission volume in working faces, the new calculating method was put forward that gas drainage rate was added to total actual gas emission volume after analyzing lots of gas data and ventilation data of many gas drainage faces in Chengzhuang coal mine. The multi-group gas drainage volumes are processed as a whole during the calculation, the regression relationship was found between gas drainage rate and time, and the gas drainage rate data were accumulated at different intervals, so the error caused by traditional methods can be greatly reduced. Then the new method was illuminated by the example.
