摘要

Terra/ASTER sensor which has nadir looki ng and backward looking functions provides Digital Surface model (DSM). The DSM consists of ground elevation and the height of objects on ground such as building heights and tree heights. The difference, however, is not real height of tree which is measured top point, and it is average of surface of trees. This means that the dif ference of DSM and DEM has higher relationship with biomass than height of trees. We get some forestry maps from Tohoku Regional Forest Office and geocoded them . The difference is compared with the information of the map.
