The oil free scroll air compressor under water injection used in a 30kW Fuel cell was investigated experimentally. The axial clearance of the scroll air compressor was measured by using an eddy current displacement sensor. An effective experimental configuration is established, the test procedure is designed to acquire proper data and the actual test results could reflect the value and the change of the axial clearance in scroll compressor under various working conditions. Furthermore, the delivery and the power consumption of the scroll air compressor under water injection were also measured experimentally.
