LATEST ORDOVICIAN AND EARLIEST SILURIAN GRAPTOLITES FROM NORTHWESTERN ZHEJIANG,CHINA

1 INTRODUCTIONThe Hirnantian graptolites from the northern Zhejiang Province were described first by Yang Da-quan(1964,1983),together with those from the overlying Akidograptus ascensus Biozone at the Tangjia section of Yankou,the Zhujiatou section (Lin’an),as well as Huangshu (Anji) and Sanqiaopu (Deqing).Ge Mei-yu (1984) described the Hirnantian graptolites from the Tangjia section,where two graptolite biozones were recognized：the Diplograptus bohemicus Biozone (lower),and the Diplograptus modestus Biozone(upper).
