In this paper a navigation system which guides wheelchairs to the route of minimum traveling load is proposed. To realize the system, it is necessary to prepare a method which enables us to estimate wheelchair traveling load (cost) quantitatively. Therefore, estimation models of physiological traveling load are derived by analyzing the experimental data statistically which was collected under the parametric condition of obstacle factors for wheelchair moving. And applying the models, the estimation accuracies of the models are confirmed to be comparatively enough to use them for a wheelchair navigation system by the analysis using the data collected experimentally on actual roads.
