Based on dynamics analysis to the motion of semi-ballistic reentry vehicle, a motion model for this kind of vehicle is presented. The main forces that semiballistic vehicle bears, i.e., the drag, the lift, the centrifugal, and the Coriolis are all taken into consideration. Models comparison is made between the models for semi-ballistic reentry vehicle (SBRV),ballistic reentry vehicle (BRV), and maneuvering reentry vehicle (MaRV). Reentry trajectories of several different kinds of models are given and analyzed. The coefficient parameter and the lift drag ratio are both supposed to be known. Numerical simulation results are provided to demonstrate the validity of the model further. Some conclusions for modeling and estimate to reentry vehicle are also presented.
