This research work has one main objective; which is to investigate the possibility of producing early strength self-compacting concrete using different types of superplasticizers (type F). In order to achieve this objective, a test program was designed and divided into two stages. The first stage includes the investigation of the addition of three different types of superplasticizers (type F) individually from the Egyptian local market on the properties of fresh early strength self-compacting concrete. Characteristics of the various produced concretes are measured such as air content , time from immediately lifting the cone and the supported concrete is allowed to slump to reach a diameter of 50cm ( t 50 )., and slump flow test . The second stage involves testing of compressive strength at ages 1 day, 3 days , 7 days , and 28 days for mixes selected from the first stage as well as testing the modulus of elasticity at age 28 days .Two main variables were investigated through the two stage program. They were: the effects of different types of superplasticizers (type F) and different superplasticizer admixture which complies with ASTM C494 Types G and F was used in all mixes (VI) ( 2 % by weight of cement ) contents on the production of early strength self-compacting concrete. Results proved feasibility of producing early strength self-compacting concrete (200 kg/cm2) in the presence of high dosages of superplasticizers .
