Ferritic/martensitic (F/M) steels EP-450, EP-852 andEP-823 were developed in Russia with EP-450 used forhexagonal wrappers in sodium-cooled fast reactors. Theother two steels contain rather high silicon levels andwere developed for corrosion compatibility with Pb-Bieutectic. This class of steel is a candidate for service invarious fast reactors and accelerator-driven transmutationdevices. However, there is very little published data onthe response to high fluence irradiation of these Simodifiedsteels. This paper presents previouslyunpublished results of irradiation conducted onpressurized creep tubes in the BN-350 fast reactor.
