Discusses on the Lightning Strike and Wire Breakage of OPGW

摘要

Based on the phenomenon of lightning strike with OPGW and the processing of the wire breakage, the paper presents that the high temperature lighting arc produced by the thunder is the primary reason of the breakage, discusses the influencing factors in wire breakage in different conditions and the measures to take. With the ldiographic analysis of lightning strike OPGW on 500 kV Jiang-Mao II circuit in Guangdong Province, the paper puts forward some reasons for the breakage: disfigurement of the original material, disfigurement of manufacturing process, ways of grounding, electric arc produced by the thunder and insufficiency of the fiber's anti-lightning design level. Then some key problems to improve anti-lightning strike OPGW fiber is pointed out.
