In the recent years, textile finishing industry has focused on finishes that are convenient and easy or application, are environment friendly, use minimum water and energy resources, and provide mproved performance. Durable press finishes have lived through this demand and have seen several tew approaches to replace the environmentally and hygienically harmful routes, which includes eplacement of conventional formaldehyde based finishes with low formaldehyde content finishes or nvestigating new formaldehyde free chemicals for the treatment.
