Cotton hollow yarn knitted fabric and normal cotton yarn knitted fabrics showed significant differences in various comfort properties. Differences in the fabric properties mostly reflected the differences in the yarn structure. The results obtained for Air Permeability, Thermal Conductivity, Thermal Diffusivity, Thermal Absorptivity and Wettability demonstrated the superiority of cotton hollow yarn knitted fabric with respect to comfort properties. Cotton hollow yarn knitted fabric provides better thermal insulation than that of normal cotton yarn knitted fabric. This indicates that cotton hollow yarn knitted fabric may have better thermal comfort for winter (cold and dry) weather conditions also.
