Evaluation of bipolar design for rechargeable lithium battery

The performances of monopolar and bipolar Li-TiS₂batteries are compared using two empirical computer design programs forhigh power applications. Predicted performance outputs for variousdesigns at various discharge rates, capacities, and voltages arereported. Laboratory-type bipolar Li-TiS₂ batteries were alsofabricated to demonstrate the concept of the rechargeable bipolarlithium batteries. The performance of the batteries under various testconditions is presented
