In this paper, a brief historical retrospect on research and development situation of ion-induced condensation is presented. The classic model of ion-induced nucleation is discussed. The difference between classic ion-induced condensation process and classic spontaneous condensation process is analyzed, and then the governing equations of the two nuclealion processes are compared. The ion-induced condensation of water vapor is calculated, and it is compared to the spontaneous condensation. The results show that when the ion concentration is on the same level, the nucleation rate is several orders higher than that of spontaneous condensation. On this basis, combining with the rules of wet steam two-phase flow, the process of ion-induced condensation is analyzed, and with the modified droplet growth model the uniform numerical model of ion-induced condensation and spontaneous condensation is established. The result of calculation of a 1-D nozzle shows that there is huge difference between ion-induced condensation and spontaneous condensation, and when the ion concentration reach to a certain point, the condensation shock can be diminished and even disappeared because of the existence of ion-induced condensation.
