In the present paper, a mathematical model was built to describe the simultaneous transports of heat and water in soil. In this model, the temperature effect of soil water was taken into consideration by applying the Surface Tension-Viscous Flow Theory. The transient numerical calculation has been carried out on a domain with height of 0.2 meter and width of 0.2 meter, which showed that the temperature effect on soil water content at the 60th day exceeded 8.7%. This indicated that in the cases when temperature gradient is relatively high or in long-term study, temperature effect on soil water should not be neglected.
