This paper describes how advanced design and architecture solutions of the IC controller canbest suit the ever more complex requirements of non-isolated-point-of-load (niPOL)converters widely used in the distributed power market. In particular, high end computing andnetworking power delivery systems adopting the Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA), arecovered.Performance results, obtained with an advanced PWM controller family are provided as well.
