tmPVM-task migratable PVM

摘要

In this paper we introduce an implementation of PVM that exploitsthe homogeneity of an MPP network with user-level task migration. Thetarget machine is the Fujitsu AP3000. It is basically a network of Sunworkstations connected by a high-speed network. Furthermore, we explorethe possibility of allowing the PVM host configuration to expanddynamically so as to include idle nodes into the virtual machine. Theresult is tmPVM, which allows the virtual machine to re-distributeworkload dynamically with low overhead
