A rigorous theory of the combined multilayered many-elementcylindrical gratings is presented. The boundary problems are transformedto solving algebraic sets of equations for the multipole coefficients ofthe spectrum of scattered field. The numerical results for theelectrodynamic characteristics of the combined gratings are obtained andanalyzed. The combined gratings of various profile and filling withdielectric layers and metal screens are widely used in antenna andmicrowave engineering as elements of reflecting and matching devices, antenna radomes, microwave resonators and filters, wave transformersetc. To control the transmission, reflection and polarizationcharacteristics of the gratings, it is necessary to provide thecapability to change the interior structure of the grating spacing. Inthis paper, the combined multilayered many-element cylindrical gratingsare suggested and investigated to provide this capability. A rigoroustheory of combined multilayered many-element circular cylindricalgratings is proposed, and some numerical results are obtained anddiscussed
