Repetition rate and wavelength tunable picosecond optical pulse source employing square-wave-driven modulator, comb-like profiled fibre compressor and pulse timing stabilizer

We present a low-pedestal optical pulse source with the repetition rate tunability of 9-15 GHz and the wavelength tunability of 1530-1560 nm. A new timing stabilization method using an IQ modulator is also demonstrated.
