Powering palmtop and laptop devices by wireless power transmission

The world is mesmerized by the day-to-day technological advancements and wireless technology faithfully works hand-in-hand with them to help its users reap maximum benefits. Palmtops, laptops and mobile phones, which are increasingly gaining popularity, are however often frowned upon for the inconvenient way of charging these devices. Consumers and service provides are both unable to exploit the offered services to their advantage. Video streaming, internet downloads; advanced gaming technologies and many more services offered can be enjoyed easily only when an undisrupted, convenient mode of charging these devices is made possible. Through an extensive survey, this paper analyzes the building blocks of wireless power transmission, implementation, design, radiation effects, and also safe limits of microwave radiation.
