TENSION STIFFENING MODELS FOR ANALYSIS OF CONCRETESTRUCTURES WITH STEEL AND FRP REINFORCEMENT

摘要

Analysis of concrete structures requires consideration of the tension stiffening effect thatrefers to the contribution of concrete between discrete cracks to the overall stiffness of a region of amember. Over the years several models have been proposed to include this aspect of behaviour inalgorithms for computing deflections at service load levels and in finite element models for generalanalysis of concrete structures. This paper presents results of a comparative study of several modelstaken from the literature to identify similarities and differences among the models. In addition ageneralized tension stiffening model is presented that is applicable to both steel and FRP reinforcedmembers.
