In order to repair and improve the performance ofmachinery parts of power plant, pulsed Nd: YAG laser,CO2 laser, diode laser, and TIG cladding were carried outfor deposition of Stellite 6 powder on the surface of12%Cr martensitic stainless steel plate (t=12mm). Shapeof clad layer, dilution, Vickers hardness, DAS (DendriteArm Spacing) value, and microstructure were investigated.X-ray diffraction analysis, EPMA analysis, EDS analysisand wear test of clad layer were carried out to compare thecharacteristics of different clad processes. Laser cladprocesses comparing with TIG cladding, have the smalldilution rate, microstructure of impalpable, narrow widthof heat-affected zone, high Vickers hardness, excellentwear-resistance, high content of Co, and low content of Fein clad layer
