A three-layer polyethylene structure anticorrosive layer is also called as three-layer PE, is one of the most advanced anticorrosive techniques. The coated segment is the most import part in the process of producing three-layer PE. The steel pipe is heated by the intermediate frequency stove and its temperature is the key factor to keep the product's high quality. In order to achieve this goal and improve the safety of the control system, control laws reconfiguration was used in the temperature control system as active fault tolerant control (AFTC) strategy. When the temperature sensor was completely out of action at the coated segment. The back propagation neural network is proposed as the FTC controller for the nonlinear and undetermined object of the steel pipes' heating, then, it was simulated in MATLAB by the use of the data, which were gathered in one line of 3-layer PE product. The test result shows that the method is valid and reliable, and it can be use in temperature control systems of various anticorrosive steel pipe products' lines.
