摘要

This paper has described roll forging and die forging technology for automobile front axle. A simulation was employed to examine the roll forging process . The simulation is based on the three-dimensional finite element analysis under isothermal condition, and metal flow procedure and force-time curve are analyzed. On the basis of simulation results , four typical characteristic of roll forging process were explained . To verify the reliability of the simulation , simulation results for profile was compared with experimental result . It is concluded that simulation results can guide the development of roll forming process and die design for automobile front axle.
