FINE GRAINED SYSTEM INTEGRATION WITH WEB SERVICES

摘要

In this paper a loose system integration approach is introduced that supports the combination of distributed engineering models to a joint product representation. The integration concept connects the model to a loosely coupled Semantic Network. Web Service tool interfaces support the simple access and management of this information network. Knowledge becomes a major resource in collaborative design and product development. Metadata on engineering models at file level has difficulties to describe the interrelation of model entities between the files. With this fine grained integration approach the relations between model entities across engineering tools can be maintained and utilized as a product knowledge representation.
