METRICS FOR POPULATION COMPARISONS IN EVOLUTIONARY COMPUTATION SYSTEMS

With the growing use of evolutionary system with multiple populations, a distance between populations in gene space has become needed. In this paper, we develop such a family of such distance measures and argue that one specific version of this measure is particularly appropriate for use with Evolutionary Computational systems.
