Large numbers of fly ash produced by coal combustion in Chinese power plants has polluted environment. The optimized run experiment of YNDF-I model separating charcoal from fly ash installation in electrostatic field firstly has been made in this paper. The results showed that the primary parameters of the separating charcoal from fly ash system were voltage, pole-plate interspaces, friction materials, fly-ash concentration in airflow, etc.. The charcoal content of the fly ash in electrostatic field reduces 9.05 % to 1.20 %, and the separating-charcoal rate (SCR) of the original fly ash can achieve 86.74 %. This installation and technology can solve some problems of fly-ash comprehensive utilization, and therefore achieve sig-nificant social, economic and environmental benefits.
