Numerical Assessment of Locke Island Landslide, Columbia River Valley, Washington State, USA

摘要

Stability and deformation analyses of the Locke Island landslide were performed using numerical models and computer programs based on limit-equilibrium and continuum-mechanics principles. Results of these analyses support the following: (1) the working hypothesis on the likely cause of the landslide; (2) the occurrence of the landslide; and (3) the observed movements of the landslide. The ideas and procedures used can be applied to analyze other landslide problems.
