Assessment of Sound Field in a CAR

摘要

This paper describes the measurement and assessment method for car audio systems including sound field of car cabins, whichis so small that cannot be described by conventional room acoustical approach. Some subjective tests were performed and theacoustical measurements of 5 cars audio systems were performed using head-and-torso simulator(HATS) and multi-channelmicrophone system. Also, the studies on the relationships between the results of the subjective tests and the measuredparameters are stated. As a result, we could conclude that many of the conventional parameters do not have useful meaning ina car and its audio system. By analyzing the impulse responses, we could develop some parameters useful for assessment ofthe sound field in a car.
