摘要

The quantitative effects of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) particle properties on the release behavior of aspirin from a swellable matrix tablet system were investigated. The drug release kinetics were found to be dependent on the summative influence of polymer content in the tablet core, quantity of ethylcellulose coating and the concentration of soluble modifier in the coating formulation on drug release kinetics.
