A dimensionless inflow performance relationship (IPR) curvethat is a function of horizontal permeability, average reservoirpressure, reservoir height, and reservoir drainage area hasbeen developed for unfractured, horizontal gas wells. TheBabu and Odeh horizontal oil well flow equations weremodified to account for non-Darcy flow effects andmechanical skin effects and also transformed intopseudopressure form. The pseudopressure equations weresolved using analytical methods and Monte Carlo simulationto yield dimensionless IPR curves. This effort showed that theproposed dimensionless IPR curve for unfractured, horizontalgas wells in pseudosteady-state flow is basically independentof all variables except horizontal permeability, averagereservoir pressure, reservoir height, and reservoir drainagearea. The proposed dimensionless IPR curve is similar inform to the familiar Vogel equation, but only has onecoefficient, which is a function of horizontal permeability,average reservoir pressure, reservoir height, and reservoirdrainage area. The proposed dimensionless IPR curve can beused to predict the deliverability of a horizontal gas well usinga single-point test, as opposed to a standard four-pointdeliverability test, if the height of the reservoir is known.
