摘要

An experimental study has been carried out in order to determine the photodegradation of γ -HCH on surface soils with low amount of organic substance. It can be concluded that photodegradation rate of γ -HCH was fitted for pseudo one-order kinetics. The constants of photodegradation rates increase from 0.0052 μ g/ (kg · h) to 0.0340 μ g/ (kg · h) with the increase of total iron contents between 0.40% and 5.40% in soils. These results show that total iron in soils with low amount of organic substance has remarkable catalysis on photodegradation of γ -HCH.
