Radical innovation in supplier-initiated modularity-a case study of an alliance between suppliers of semiconductor devices

The process of expertise acquisition and organizational learning capability is studied by analyzing the interaction between suppliers of different technological fields. The organization, which achieved commercialization, has an ability to build up new knowledge and to improve credibility and reproducibility. The ability corresponds to the third of absorptive capacity divided into evaluation, assimilation and commercial application.
