摘要

A large number of research projects on the earthquake response of reinforced concrete bridge structures and components have been in progress at the University of Nevada, Reno. The studies have encompassed detailed nonlinear response history analyses of bridge systems and laboratory studies of large scale bridge columns and walls under slow cyclic or shake table loading. Seismic retrofit of deficient bridge elements using different materials including fiber reinforced plastics has been also investigated. This article presents an overview of four of these projects, and provides a list of reference with more detailed information.
