AGGREGATE VOLUME FRACTION IN CONCRETE PLATES OF GENERAL MIX

In this paper, the aggregate volume fraction in concrete plates of general mix is discussed. Firstly, to obtain analytical expressions of the aggregate volume fraction, cubic spline functions are adopted to approximate the probability distribution function (pdf) for the volumes of aggregate particles. Secondly, the aggregate volume fraction of concrete plates with wall effect is derived by applying the theory of aggregate volume fraction. Finally, some numerical results are graphically presented and the corresponding conclusions are drawn based on the obtained analytical solutions.
