A Quality of Service Interconnect

Computer systems have become powerful enough to be capable of processing video and audio data streams in real-time. While processing power and bandwidth are available in abundance, the infrastructure of handling time-sensitive, high-bandwidth data is not yet commonplace. This paper shows the approach taken by this research to design a possible implementation of Quality of Service guarantees within the interconnection architecture. The resulting interconnect will sustain guaranteed timely throughput even if additional loads are introduced into the system.
