Different Techniques for Tracking Nonlinear Control Systems

This paper presents advanced techniques to enforce the nonlinear system output to track a given reference trajectory, which is a very important industrial problem. The designed tracking controllers are effective when used for controlling the nonlinear system outputs to track a reference model output. Different methods are proposed to design these controllers. These methods are: 1-Adaptive proportional integral derivative (PID) controller based on piecewise linearization for the given nonlinear system. 2-Feedforward multilayer artificial neural networks ANN-bascd tracking controller. 3-Adaptivc pulse amplitude modulation control law for controlling nonlinear systems based on Z-form numerical calculus method. Simulations are performed to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed controllers and the output of nonlinear system tracks the output of second order reference linear model to high degree of accuracy.
