Smart antennas hold great promise for increasing the capacity of wireless communications because they radiate and receive energy only in the intended directions, thereby greatly reducing interference. To properly design, analyse, and implement smart antennas, and to exploit spatial processing in emerging wireless systems, a study of the optimal geometry is necessary. In this work, a general expression for the spatial correlation is presented, and therefore using that expression a comparison between the performance of two Uniform Linear Arrays (ULA) is made through the evaluation of computer simulations in a multipath fading channel, where the Power Azimuth Spectrum (PAS), is Laplace distributed. This paper continues the work published before about antenna array geometries.
