Hight Temperature Sm_2(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)_17 Magnets and their Dynamic Thermal Stability

摘要

In search of new high temperature permanent magnet materials, we have developed new sintered Sm-Co based permanent magnets that possess much higher _MH_c at high temperatures (>=400 deg C) than the conventional 2:17 magnets. As a result, a new class of high-temperature permanet magnet materials capable of operating up to 550 deg C has been successfully developed. The new magnets demonstrate superior high-temperature dynamic energy product and long-term stability as compared with conventional 2:17 magnets. Effects of Fe and z value on high-temperature performance, temperature dependence of intrinsic coercivity, microstructure, and crystal structure of these new Sm(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)_z magnets are studied in this paper.
