摘要

The latest advances in the techniques for rapid measurements of soil water and nutrient content s in China are introduced in this paper. The sensor of soil water content based on the principle of standing-wave ratio has been developed successfully by China Agricultural University. Subsequently with this sensor an intelligent rapid measurement meter for soil water content named TSC II was designed and has been widely used in demonstrative projects of dry farming in North China. For now in China, the rapid measurement of soil nutrient content still relies on the method of photoelectric colorimetry combined with chemical leaching liquor. THe research work to improve the rapidity, stability and veracity of this method is being carried out.
