摘要

This paper describes the design conception and structural analysis of a cantilever stadium roof at the ZDSC. The stadium has a diameter of 244m and the spans 50m. The roof structure is a complex mixed structure that consists of a pair of supporting towers, stayed and pretensioned cables, inside and outside ring beams and a pair of double-layer lattice shells. Some design and modelling aspects are discussed, including wind loads, design criteria, the stiffness effects of the cables, stability of the inside ring beams, geometric non-linearity of the structure and synthesization of the effects of cables, shells, towers and connections. Several structural characteristics of the roof structure are also summarised. The ZDSC locates at Hangzhou, a beautiful city in Zhejiang province of China. The construction of the roof structure has been completed in March 2000.
