A novel high efficiency power amplifier topology foraudio reproduction is presented. The topology breaksprevious performance barriers in switchingtechnology, by combining an effective errorcorrection method, Multivariable Enhanced CascadeControl (MECC), with a new integrated modulatortopology - Controlled Oscillation Modulation (COM).This topological combination proves to be veryelegant. Extensive measurements are given on 250W,500W and 1000W case implementations of the MECC/COMtopology, showing e.g. 0.0005% (-106dB) true THDcombined with state-of-the-art in power and volumeefficiency.
