Diffusivity Properties of Distributed Mode Loudspeakers

A method involving the evaluation of the Cross-Correlation Function has been developedto describe the difsusivity of direct sound radiation. The dependence of the spatialcorrelation of the radiation field on sound source properties and frequency has beeninvestigated. This work has highlighted the d@use nature of the sound field of aDistributed Mode Loudspeaker and the correlated output of a conventional coneloudspeaker.
