John Deere Foundry Melt Shop Revitalization Project

Following extensive research into alternate methods of molten metal production, the John Deere Foundry Waterloo selected the medium frequency coreless induction furnace to support its plans for long range business improvement. An intense construction schedule set in the midst of continued production of gray and ductile iron castings, resulted in first iron from a medium frequency coreless induction furnace tapping just thirteen months following project approval. While still working to improve performance, the John Deere Foundry is reaping dividends from its investment in terms of reduced cost of melting, reduced emissions and reductions in waste generation. The systems in place will carry the John Deere Foundry many years into the future and will allow us to maintain our slogan:"Nothing Runs Like a Deere"
