The high range resolution of MM-wave linear frequency-modulation continuous wave (LFMCW) radar is greatly limited by nonlinearity in frequency sweep. This paper presents a real-time nonlinearity extracting technique based on zero-crossing detection, and the analysis of its estimation performance. Finally, the analysis results on swept frequency nonlinearity and range resolution of a practical MM-wave LFMCW radar are also provided.
