Automated sorting systems in waste disposal

摘要

Steadily increasing volumes of garbage and waste, exhaustable resources, and the increasing scarcity of landfill space call for economically and ecologically sensible solutions of the problems in all areas of waste disposal. The AUTOSORT project (AUTOmated SORTing system for advanced waste disposal), funded by the EU, is searching for technical solutions in the field of demolition waste recycling. The goal of the project is to increase the cost efficiency of the manual sorting system currently being used with the application of an automatic system.
