FIRECONDUCTIVE CORDS ON A POLYMERIC BASIS

Recently in connection with wide use of devices aerosol fire-suppressing there was a task of development independent, not requiring external sources of a current, system of start with the help fireconductive cords. Wide application such cords can find also for transfer of a fire pulse to various pyrotechnic compositions. One of the basic requirements showed to similar cords, is the requirement of maintenance of steady burning of small-sized products (diameter of 1-4 mm) with pressure close to atmospheric. Complex investigations were done to develop the fireconductive cords on a polymeric bases having acceptable structure-mechanical, technological and ballistic characteristics.
