Modern prefabrication techniques for building structures

The current developments in precast concrete building techniques are inspired by a number of new market demands such as structural efficiency, optimum use of materials speed of construction, quality, flexibility in use, adaptability and environmental issues. Prefabrication possesses a large potential to respond to these requirements. The possible solutions which are at our disposal lie not only within the classical advantages related to working conditions, technology and speed of execution, but also in new developments in the domain of materials such as high performance concrete, building systems such as hybrid structures, manufacturing technology e.g. automation, service integrated products and others.
