摘要

Spectroscopic detection of benzene (C_6h_6),toluene (C_7H_8),ad xylene (C_8H_10) from fuel has bene performed using UV absorption spectosciopy.A deuterium lamp was used as a light source; the absorption signals were recorded by an opticla multichannel analyser.Spectra were taken from 230 nm to 280 nm (B-band of benzene form #pi#-electron transistions).The spectra of aromatic compounds in fuel emission are distinguished due to the batochrom shift of absorption bands followed by hte substitution of hydrogen atoms of the banzene ring by -CH_3 groups (#pi#-conjugation) forming,in this way,toluene and xylene.
