~(40)Ar-~(39)Ar and Rb-Sr dating of the large-scale copper-molybdenum porphyry deposits in the Central-Asian mobile belt within Siberia (Russsia) and Mongolia documents three teporal periods of main mineralization: Early Devonian, Triassic and Late Jurassic. Using the Erdenetuin-Obo ore district as an example, it is shown that the formation of large-scale copper-molybdenum porphyry deposits resulted from multiple ore-forming processes associated with separate pulses of ore-bearing porphyry magmatism.
