摘要

A robust self-modelocked erbium doped fiber laser is described. All of the necessary components in the cavity are integrated within fiber, and the entire system can be packaged in a compact portable module. The final design configuration is free of manual alignment and is not sensitive to polarization effects or fiber movement. The picosecond range pulses at the output are adjustable and transform limited. This passive laser can be injection seeded and synchronized with another fiber laser to generate repetition rates in the GHz range.
